New Moomin Shop Decor!

The Moomin Shop in London’s Covent Garden have been planning their redecoration for a while, so when I visited in November I was terribly excited to see it in person. It’s so vibrant, full of life and you can definitely tell a lot of time and effort was put into making it so wonderful. There is a huge mural that fills the entire wall and even a postbox so you can leave your messages to Moominvalley. This post is very picture heavy but that’s the best way to show you how brilliant it is!

Everything You Need to Know About Moominworld

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is how to get to Moominworld/Muumimaailma in Finland. It seems as though once people find out Moominvalley exists, they make it their life goal to visit (that includes me too). I found out about it six years ago when I was 14 and finally managed to go when I was 18.

I must fret that it isn’t a theme park as you know them to be. There are no rides. I personally think that would be awful if there were, because it is definitely a unique experience and the Finns are very proud of it. The best way to describe it is to say that they have built Moominvalley from the books/90s TV series.

Moomin Haul

Many of you know that I started university to study nursing in September 2011 and from then until March I’ve had almost no money at all. However, I’ve just received a huge backlog of payments for uni and so I’ve definitely treated myself over the Easter holidays, but it was greatly deserved!

It was my 19th Birthday on April 5th, and I was given a budget of £100 off Tomm for my presents. I decided to shop around and bought some of the Moomin books – mainly from Amazon, which is the cheapest place.

Welcome to My New Moomin Blog!

After using Tumblr for six months for my blog, I’ve realised that my own website would be much easier to manage because the Moomins have such a huge fanbase and I really don’t like being limited on what I can/can’t upload – plus, not everyone uses Tumblr.

My blog will be used for documenting my purchases, travels, events, stories, thoughts, gifs, videos and basically anything Moomin related that I would like people to know about.
