cookie T&Cs

In Brief, What My Cookies Do:
Cookies on this site are used to enable me to view page statistics throughout all of my pages.

What Is A Cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user’s previous activity.

Why Have A Disclaimer?
From the 26th may 2012, the EU Privacy Directive states all websites must allow users to opt out of cookies.

What Cookies Do I Use?

__utma / __utmb / __utmc / __utmz – Created by Google Analytics, allowing for a more in depth statistic reading. Again this is used to improve the content I post. (See how Google Analytics uses cookies)

WhiteChocChip – Finally a tasty little cookie (my favourite flavour) used only to disable the cookie information bar at the top once you have agreed to allow cookies.

clear your cookie cache if you do not agree to using the above cookies”;
else
echo “accept cookies“;
